This blog is the musings of a 30-something year old Unitarian-Universalist in northern New England.
I became a UU when I was around nine years old. My mother and I were both Catholics, but she decided to search for a new spiritual home shortly after the time of my first Confession. Luckily she knew that saying a rosary for penance wasn’t the best solution when I confessed I didn’t believe in god.
Since then, there have been years I didn’t go to church at all and times that I have been deeply involved in UU congregations. The most intense time came when I served as interim minister and later lay leader to my parish. I’ve considered seminary, but was deeply disappointed with my experiences at prospective student events. I’m sure I’ll blog about that at some point.
For now, I’m hoping that having a method of sharing my thoughts will become the spiritual practice I know I need, but can’t quite seem to find.
